Startup Programs

  bobford 07:35 09 Sep 03

I used to use a brilliant program called More Properties for checking what programs were running in the backgroud when the system started. I now cannot find a link to this program on the net.

Can anyone point me in the direction of this program or advise me of a decent alternative.

Found this (looks like it).

For an alternative (just for startup), try Mike Lin's Startup Control Panel. click here

No need for external programs. Just go into Start, Run. Type in "msconfig" without the quotes and click OK.

You can then look up a list of Startup programs and other things besides.

Have I misunderstood?

Thanks for the comments. I downloaded the Mike Lin program - looks good and I think I have solved the problem :-)

I did try typing MSCONFIG but the system couldn't find it (I'm running Win 2000).

Thanks one and all - case closed *S*
