startup problem

Started dell laptop earlier but having problems booting. Seems to be in a loop between dell startup screen with progress bar and windows loading files screen. Have tried numerous startup repair procedures and system restores but all to no avail.

Start in Safe Mode if it will start by tapping F5 or F8 as its starting, if you can get into safe mode, go to Start/Run type MSCONFIG then press enter. put a tick in Diagnostic Startup. Reboot and see if it starts.

F8 does not work, f5 takes me to boot manager with option to start memory diagnostic. Have already done this twice. And still no joy. So at moment safe mode out of the question.

F8 has no affect. Goes to boot manager

It looks like it has a seagate hard drive so download the iso image for CD Seagate Tools and burn to disc from image then boot from that disc in the laptop and let it check for and fix errors on the drive.

Use F8 and follow Dell's instructions here
