Startup message

Upon startup I get a message saying
"Error loading C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\ctrlpan.dll
Cannot find file specified"

Have I picked up a virus and if so how can I remove it? I do run AVG but this doesn't seem to have found anything

Many Thanks for any help!

What version of Windows are you using ?

From its name I would suggest its something to do with the Control Panel. I'm unsure why it would have become missing, though which could have something to do with a virus.

It would appear it is to do with spyware of some kind...

CWS apparently removes it || click here || But the link is dead for me :-(

Try adaware and spybot || click here || click here ||
