Hello,
I have just gone to wireless.
In the startup menu I have the wireless icon.
Also in the startup menu i have two tv screen icons.
1- is local area connection and it says a network cable is unplugged.

2- is a network bridge and it says a network cable is unplugged.

Are these icojs suppossed to be there now since wireless was installed.

Thanks for your advise.

They are now obsolete short cuts, you can remove them if you wish.
If they are not causing problems, leave them alone.

They will be there if you have a LAN card installed and was connected by Ethernet via a router. You can just untick the option to have the icon in the system tray.

If you have a connect to menu in start all programs click this and select show all connections, then right click the one you need in that folder and select properties, then untick show icon in notification area at the bottom.

If you dont have a connect to menu in start all programs, then open the control panel click network and internet connections, then network connections and do the same as above.

Sorry what do you mean my connect to menu.

Left-click on Start you should then see 'Connect to'
if you hover your cursor over that you will then see 'Show all connections' clicking on that will then show your your Connections.

Ah got there thanks.

But they are all ready unticked and still showing.

Try ticking the box then unticking it again,if that doesnt work you can always select the connection and disable it this should remove the icon.
