Starting the Security Center Service in XP

I have just uninstalled Zone Alarm Pro because it was preventing Internet Explorer from opening and I could not work out how to stop this. I decided to check the Windows Security Centre to make sure the Windows Firewall was running and I got a message that said, "The Security Center is currently unavailable because the Security Center has not started or was stopped. Please close this window, restart the computer (or start the Security Center Service) and then open the Security Center again"
I have tried rebooting but the message appears each time. I assume this means that I have to start the "Security Center Service". I can't work out how to do this - Can anyone help?
Thanks

Start, run, type

services.msc

and click OK. Scroll down to Security Center, double click it, click the Start button and set the startup type to Automatic.

Thanks VoG. That did the trick.
