startbar moves to opposite side of screen

  blackmischief 00:44 16 Nov 03

On xp, the start bar can be compressed into a vertical line down the side of the screen, but sometimes when I've banged into the mouse or its dropped off the back of the table, the start-bar,
time, and quick launch icons have moved either to the top of the screen or to the other side of the screen.....How do I move it back again?I
have tried everything in the control panel but usually have to "restore" back to how it was before.

Put your mouse pointer over the task-bar and left click and hold the button down. Then it's just a matter of dragging it to where you want then release the button.

Right click on task bar, and make sure that "lock taskbar" is un-ticked.

Then left click on taskbar and drag it to where you want it.

Then right click on taskbar and tick "lock taskbar", so it cant be moved by mistake.

when you get it where you want it to be

right click it

tick "lock the taskbar"

if you want to move it again just do the same and untick it.
