Is there any way I can lower the volume of the sign on tune? The volume is set for a comfortable listening level when listening on line but is deafening when I switch on. Frantic lunges for the volume control usually result in something getting knocked over.
Thanks
Mike

not sure how to lower the volume , but you can disable it.

Control panel - sound and audio devices -sounds

Is there any way of stopping the musical sign on when Windows starts up or at least reducing the volume. A confortable volume for normal listening is deafening on start up. Can any one help?
Thanks
Mike
