When I start up the screen goes blank and then returns to say the system has recovered from a serious error.
Error code is:-
BC Code:1000000C5 BCP1 100000004
BCP2 00000002 BCP300000001 BCP4 8054B534 OsVer:5-1-2600 SP 2-0 Product 768-1.
Usaing Windows XP Home Edition and AOL 8.
What is it please?
It happens on every start up?
I have sent the error report to Microsoft.

Does Windows actually start?

Is that the full text of the message?

  LastChip 23:02 24 Jan 05

Does that message lock you out of the system, or does the system continue to boot?

  Booper 23:02 24 Jan 05

Yes Windows starts then restarts istself with the error message.

  VoG II 23:03 24 Jan 05

So is it in a reboot loop?

  Booper 23:08 24 Jan 05

It continues to bootTech. info about error report.

Can you get into Safe Mode click here

If you can, delete that entire folder

C:/Document1/Jeanlocals/temp/werg015dlroo/mini012405-01dmp C:/Document/Jeanlocals

Then restart the PC.

Have you (or are you able) to run an up to date anti-virus scan?

A scan for Trojans and Spyware would be a wise move too. (Lavasoft - Ad-Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy).

This may not be the cause, but should always be a first port of call.

  Booper 23:16 24 Jan 05

Yes I can use Adaware

  VoG II 23:17 24 Jan 05

Delete that folder first. Well known problem.

  Booper 23:20 24 Jan 05

You mean you want me to delete Adware?
