Start up Question

When I start up my computer after the Packard bell opener I get a black screen asking to choose between Windows XP Media Center or Windows Recovery Console I have not to my knowlage touched or activated anything that I know. Also I cannot go back in my system is stuck in October any Ideas on either Thanks

Try this:

Go into the System Configuration utility ("Start > Run", type MSCONFIG and click OK). Select the "Boot.ini" tab and click the button to Check All Boot Paths. If it finds that the entry for "Windows Recovery Console" is not a valid path, it will give you the option to remove it from the Boot.ini file. You will then no longer have that boot menu showing when you start up.

If that doesn't work, the Boot.ini file can be edited manually, but try the above first.

click here= Looks a bit complicated to me.What happens if you pick Windows XP Media Center.The problem may not show again if it starts Ok.Or maybe start in safe mode and press last good configuration.
