start up problems

I have built a pc-AMD64/3200+ ,nForce4-939mobo, 200gb HDD(sata).Usually all goes well but sometimes windowsxp takes 3mins to come to the login screen.Other times it appears very quickly 40secs.It has also froze on the windows screen with the blue bar not moving,no hdd activity and switches off giving me the post screen but no further. The memtest is ok.i notice in the bios that it gives my system memory as 1048576K,but I only have 1024mb installed.Help needed before i pull my remaining hair out.

Have a look in Event Viewer for some clues.

Is your PSU not supplying enough power to support what you have installed possibly?

This is usually a driver problem. Try update all dricers staring with graphics followed by motherboard drivers.

Do you have the chipset drivers installed?
