Start-up problem

I have an old win'98 comp, upgraded to ME. within the last few days it seems to be acting STRANGE!!
Every time I start-up the 'MY COMPUTOR' file opens on the desktop by default (there were other faults like script errors etc but these seem to have gone away!. Can anyone suggest how I can stop this opening everytime ? I've tried MSCONFIG etc but I'm really stumped.

I've seen this on WinME.

I don't know the cure but, evidently, it does disappear without any intervention - and can then return.

Funny you should say that about it disappearing, its done just that ! Still as you say it will probably return, so any help will still be appreciated everybody.

Check what's starting with Windows. Use AnswersThatWork task list or Pacs Portal to check whether that is where your problems are starting. Here is a link
