i have done a full re install of XP and all my other software as it was bogged down with crap. everything works ok but when i shut the system down it closes but then re starts it will not turn off

on start up press del to enter bios bios settings are different depending on make ect check your mobo book or check maufacture site for settings

done what SANTOS7 Suggested. but now on shut down it goes to a blue screen giving all sorts of instructions have to turn off using the button

What does it say on the blue screen? The exact error codes and messages please.
