Is there a way of enabling a software programme (alarm clock)to bring my pc out of standby via Windows XP settings?

i think i know what you are trying to get to,but why dont you just press the enter key when you want to use your system?

The thing is, the software in question is a little alarm clock programme which can be edited to awake with a music file of ones choice.

If possible I want to put the pc in standby overnight until the alarm clock brings it out of standby with the chosen alarm music file.

Unfortunately it will not do this so the pc has to left fully on. As the software has no setting for activating in standby mode I wondered if Windows allowed for such an adjustment somewhere?

Many thanks.
