Can anyone help me trying to identify what the above files are?. I run XP and the same are on the C drive. Unbelievably there are 961 files taking up 135GB of space!!.They are read only files. The only things I can think of as a potential source are :-

1. I ran Steganos Security Suite 7's free space
shredder and I wonder whether this could be involved.
2 There was a virus alert whilst visiting a web site which my NOD 32 software found, which I immediately shutdown. However a number of screens kept appearing which I eventually shutdown.

Any ideas?

Did a google search as well and there was no definative answer that I could see. Most of the suggestions were to move the files into a seperate differntely named file and see if any problems crop up over a few weeks and if everything worked ok then to delete them. But I'd be hesitant to delete them without knowing what they were are where they came from.
Hopefully someone will know what they are and where they come from.

Thanks for the advice. I deleted the same without adverse effects sometime ago. Thus I assume the files were from Steganos' shredder
