Spyware Problems - Please help!

My PC is currently laden with some fairly hefty spyware and linked virus and I need some help!

SYMPTOMS:
1). I am getting warnings about a Spyware infection - OHPE ver 4.1-23 on my machine (flashing yellow ! on toolbar)
2). I am getting warnings about numerous virus'
3). Many websites (especially my home and Google) redirect to click here which warns that someone has gained remote control of my PC.
4). Some apparant anti-spyware programs keep installing themselves - especially Spyware Strike.
5). Porn/Gambling popups and websites etc.

I have Sophos anti-virus and Microsoft Anti-Spyware Beta on my PC which seem to be of no use. I have also thrown CW Shredder and Cleanup at it (from a previous About:blank infection).

Following some advice on the internet I went into Safe Mode and ran SmitRem, AdAdware SE and Ewido Security Suite (couldn't then get Panda to work). This seemed to clear it up for half an hour but then I suspect a new internet connection started it all again.

My current Hijack this log won't fit in the message.

Many thanks

James

I don't know how they reappeared after cleaning them with those utilities. If you're on xp turn off firewall (as it's next to useless by evidence) and install Kerio click here and SpywareBlaster click here

May be worth doing an online av scan with Housecall click here

Zone Alarm from Zone Labs is another good firewall (also free).
AVG from Grisoft for Anti Virus.

I run Adaware, Spybot S&D, CWShredder (all from safe mode) once a month. Dont usually have any problems.

Kevin.

First and foremost get SpywareBlaster installed, updated and enable all the protection. Then reboot. It'll kill off some of the invaders making it easier for the other programs to do their work...

I have Nortons Firewall and Anti-virus. I run Adaware, Spybot S&D, Winpatrol. Winpatrol lets you know if any programs try to attach themselves to your startup. My system has been as clean as a whistle since running all of the above.

Running Windows XP Pro
