I still cant get rid of it and now spysubtract, microsoft anti spyware and spy audit are refusing to update. It seems like they cant connect to the internet. It said on that link that actual names is scumware which can overide other plugins and im wondering if that is why they wont update.I have tried uninstall, reinstall and doing a system restore but nothings working and my computer seems to be running slower. Please does anyone have any ideas how Ican get rid of it?

kayleigh. The automated HJT site is useful in some respects. I've recommended it myself as a general guide so that a person can form a judgement as to whether he/she has a clean or 'contaminated' log. But don't take the result for granted. I checked Miss Dogbreath's log on that site only a couple of days ago and it came up with two glaring false positives. Post your log on a tech. forum such as this and if you don't get a timely response, re-post to specialist sites such as click here
or click here
Bear in mind that some participants in the above sites may also frequent this and other similar forums. But the above forums do tend to concentrate people who are willing and able to interpret your HJT log.
