SPYSWEEPER ROOTKIT FOUND

Hi,

After downloading a latest Spysweeper update about a week ago each daily sweep has detected a load of hidden files suspected as rootkit entries. Initially there were over 100 but gradually SS is removing them though only via a requested reboot each time.

I am now down to just 1 remaining r/kit entry which will get removed on the next sweep. The files were in location- recycle bin/nprotect which is something to do with Norton? When I looked in the recycle bin there were no files.

Anyway just thought I'd mention it. Has anyone else had the same since an SS update? Are these rootkits false positives?

Regards,
J
