I run Ad-Aware and Spybot on my machine and am thinking of adding Spysweeper too. Anyone got any views...pros or cons about it?

I think what Diodorus is saying is why pay for things when there are decent if not better free alternatives.

Think Dio means it has a trial period and then expect you to pay for the full version.
There is enough freebies out there nowadays.

Thanks for the mind readers :-) That's what I meant.

No need to pay for AV/Firewall/AntiSpyware for most users; nor indeed for Office Suites, DVD / CD burning, and so on.

There is very little commercial software on my pc.
