You can download a free 30 day trial, but you have to pay after that. I am impressed by the program.

I might be out of date but it used to be possible to use the trial version indefinitely but without updates after the first one, which was free.

I did have one problem with Spysweeper. This was when I had Firefox set as my default browser. It would not download any updates. Their tech dept tried their best, but couldn't solve it. I discovered that changing back to IE cured it.
