spybot will not get rid of this

dont know mate u could try turning of system restore and running ur av in safe mode or start run and type the adware and delete all that comes up good luck Mammak

i got as far as regedit on the instuctions on your link, where is the task manager,and do i open it while in regedit or not ???????

This and some other entries which are the same away with WinXP. I advise that this will not be the only one lurking in Internet Explorer.

Keep an eye on your Home Page as if you have the whole lot of these bugs they randomly change the home page, you will usually find if its the whole set of them that I.e will take you on a unwanted tour of bad sites.

Do your Windows Updates, Check you have Firewall protecton on and virus software updated.
