Spybot uninstall

When I uninstalled Spybot, it left some detritus behind. Even deleting the registry entries did not allow me to delete a remaining .dll (695 kb of read only file) in the Spybot - search and destroy folder. I tried re-installing and uninstalling Spybot, but the .dll remained. I tried changing the attributes, and even renaming the file (which is why I can no longer remember the original name!!).

I'm running Windows XP, IE6, Norton AV and Firewall. Any thoughts?

The .dll may have been called sdhelper.dll

Description: SDHelper.dll doesn't get uninstalled.

If Explorer windows are open and one tries to uninstall Spybot-S&D, the SDHelper.dll won't get deleted as it still is in memory. Cause: The installer/uninstaller package in the version currently used doesn't allow uninstalling the BHO. The new version installer will hopefully allow this.
