I have just installed spybot on a friends computer but teatimer is proving very annoying. Does anyone know how to switch it off?

Thnaks,

Jake

Start spybot and go mode/advanced go to tools at the side and select resident and uncheck the box. Close spybot.

Oddly Spybot doesnt make it easy to disable it. Never worked that one out. Especially as it defaults to on but then hides it in the advanced options.

Sugest you un-install spybot and watch when re-installing , there may be a box to untick although I manage to install without TT, have you been to Spybot website?

Thanks for the enlightenment Creature of the Nite, I have never used it for some years when it used to cause problems but I forget the details

More than welcome. I had to load spybot to actually make myself remember. I never liked the add ons for S&D but tend to use enough protection and daily scans to make it needless anyway.

Problem now resolved,
