I had problems with the updated version and ended up removing Spybot altogether and am now relying on SpywareBlaster and AdAware. Is the latest version of Spybot now OK?

The current version seems ok to me - no problems other than it reporing the DSO exploit being present every time I run S&D.

I'll try again

I attempted to uninstall Spybot 1.2 but it would not do a full install. For some reason I'd installed it on the same partition as XP and XP tells me that I should not modify this drive's contents. I've installed the new version of Spybot on a different drive and it seems to be running OK now. It even informed me that I had SpywareBlaster installed and that this would give me superior ActiveX protection. Impressed. Thanks again
