Spilt drink on laptop

Hi,

A friend of mine spilt a drink on her laptop the other night. It is now not turning on, and there are no longer any lights indicating any power to the system. We have taken as much as possible of it apart to dry, but still no joy.

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas what we can do with it, apart from sending it to a Toshiba repair centre which would cost roughly £250! :(

Cheers,
Tom

What sort of drink?

Fizzy drink then see GANDALF <|:-)> above

water / tea (no sugar) then strip as far as possible allow to dry for a couple of days n the airing cupboard or somewhere warm, try without battery
