Speeded up IE9 by selecting "use software.........

I'm liking IE9 but suspect it was a little slower opening pages than IE8.

At the moment getting good results by select "use software rendering instead of GPU rendering"

I suspect the graphics (NVidia Geforce go6100) are marginal on my 4.5 yr old laptop.

Easily changed in tools> internet options> advanced> and just tick the first box that says accelerated graphics to use "software rendering"

Restart IE and test.

Hi mooly I am trying it now, but I can't really see any difference on my machine (It was 4 years old on the 10th of this month)
NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400 GPU

It definitely seems that bit snappier opening sites etc. Sometimes IE9 seemed to take ages when moving from one site to another as selected in "favourites".

I'll keep testing.

Thank you, It has been a really good buy, in fact I am thinking of buying it an Ipad 2 as a present on the 25th when they release it.
