speech recognition

i have windows home edition xp installed with windows works 7.0 i am trying to install recognition speech engine that i am told is on this OS, but when i go to start open control panel go to audio/sound click on speech i only get microsoft sam sound but cannot get to setting to change the speech setting that i can use speech recognition what do i do and also don't have windows office xp.

Do you mean Speech Recognition or Text to Speech?

Microsoft Sam is part of Text to Speech

Unfortunately the speech recognition is part of Office XP not Windows XP. You need additional software like IBM or Dragon.

Take out the space between the "//" and "support"
