I have a second hand pair of speakers which I are not working on my computer, would I need drivers? Can I test them with the computer? Any help much appreciated.

make sure you have placed them in the correct socket and supplied power to them by connecting the power supply or fitting batteries and switching on. The socket is light green or marked with an arrow pointing in.

Test the pc's sound output with a pair of head phones~cheap ones will do ~£1.

Stereo Speakers will not work on a PC. No amplifier.

Speakers do not need drivers, the sound card in the computer does though. If you're sure you've connected the speakers to the correct socket then go into control panel, system and device manager, check the sound card is installed and there are no exclamation marks.
