SPDIF Optical out and sound volume adjust

Hi all - long time since I last posted. I now have a Media Edition setup on my pc. I just purchased a soundcard with SPDIF out which works fine but. THe only way I can adjust the volume for this connection is via the Wave slider in the Volume control. If I move the master volume, it does not do anything bar if it is all the way down, mutes the sound. I need to have the master volume adjust, because using media edition, it is not possible to adjust the volume via the remote unless muting. Is there any software out there which maybe joins the master volume/wave volume or even all volume controls, and moves them all are once. It is a Trust 514DX soundcard by the way

cheers for the help

Yeah I can adjust the amp, but this is a niggling problem, because I only want to use the one remote (media one)
