just to say to those, like me, who thought that junk mail was something that we were going to have to live with, there IS a solution. i have just started using 'mailwasher', a free programme that, once configured checks e-mail before downloading, if you see one of those 'african begging letters' and the like you can add them to the 'blacklist' and bounce it back, delete, whatever. click here , BRILLIANT. you can also set it to check your e-mail in the background too.

i'm not sure they need to know too much private info like password. not saying it does, but could create a security problem
