SP2 security suite missing

  Rogerfredo 09:48 21 Nov 04

After operating my PC with SP2 for some weeks, I booted the system yesterday to find that the usual Security screen (which says whether the firewall is operational etc) did not appear.
When I went to the Help section, to access the Windows firewall it said go start/ control panel/ security - which was not present.
Clicking on any firewall links in help also had no response.
I have resorted to removing SP2 until I can sort this out.

You'll need SP2 installed to sort it out as the security centre is part of it.

Then Start, Run, type in

and click OK. Scroll down to Security Center and double click it. Change the startup behaviour to Automatic.

Thanks. I have just read another link on the use of services.msc, and will try this after I reload SP2.
