'Source \ NB Files' what are they??

  tristar 15:24 23 Apr 08

I've tried doing an anti virus scan on my computer (XP Home, SP2) using AVAST and Windows Defender.
In each case the scan has simply stopped at the time it was scanning 'C:\Source\NB Files'.

What are these files? Can I get rid of them?

My computer appears to be operating normally, my attempted scans were merely routine.

Would appreciate help,

Hmm, can't understand why two different anti virus programs should both grind to a halt at this point.

Not aware of adding any large files to account for this.

Still wondering, can I safely delete them?

`.. can I safely delete them?`

It depends on whether you are using them via one of your programs. I would suggest you either quarantine them using Avast or move them to a floppy/CD/memory stick- this would allow re-installation in the event you need them.

Yes, thanks for that, I'll shift them to a stick and see what happens.
I had imagined that the files were massive, but they're only a few megabytes - it'll be interesting to see if it makes a difference!

thanks again.
