Thank you in advance.

Have you checked from Control Panel that the Sounds and Audio Devices configuration is correct?

Yeah, no luck though.

Nobody has any idea then I take it?

What os, xp or me? If xp then click on the sound icon in the sys tray and make sure mute isn't checked.

Does that include the Mute check box from the General tab?

Usually the source of the trouble...:-)

Yes just reinstall Sound Drivers

woodchip is right, if you reinstall the sound drivers then everything should just go back to default and it should work as normal.

Unfortunately it's not. Just the same... no sound. If I go to Device Manager-Sound, video and game controllers I have the following listed...

ATI T200 Unified AVStream Driver
Audio Codecs
Legacy Audio Drivers
Legacy Video Capture Devices
Media Control Devices
Realtek AC'97 Audio
Video Codecs

All are working properly and I check to make sure on-board sound was enabled and it was... What could it be...

These problems only started when I inderted my new RADEON X1950 XTX ... I have done a complete system recovery recently too.

Go into device manager and look to see if there are any conflicts
