Sound Problem

Hi experienced a weird one today. I downloaded a video file to play at our church service. The mpeg played perfectly on my home pc, also on the church office pc, but when trying it on the pc in the church itself, which is identical to the office one, the audio was strange in that it made the guy singing sound high pitched (difficult to describe). I tried playing it through WMP, Real Player and Win DVD with the same result. it had nothing to do with our sound set up beyond the computer as it sounded the same with headphones directly into the pc.

Was wondering if anyone had come across anything similar.

Sorry for the delay in response. tried both suggestions neither worked. Tried a system restore to the week before and everything is back to normal. The problem remains a mystery but at least it is now working properly again.

Thanks for the responses.

Do other DVDs play OK on the church PC system? David
