Hi, not sure if this is possible but here goes I've started saving lots of my cds onto my pc, well different tracks from assorted cds, anyway I have to keep turning the volume up and down as media player runs through the play list, due to the tracks having saved at differing volumes is there any way that I can adjust them so that they are all at the same level?

They are all saved as mp3's, and I'm running XP Home, Media Player 9.

You will need to normalise the tracks. This is something that Cool edit does etc. Run a search for normailze/normalise...personally I don't like it, you can loose a lot of depth off the track.

Radio stations use it all the time, which is fine, for an interview but music should have its own spikes..
