Hello

I bought a new PC about 5 months ago and am very happy.

I use it prodominantly to record my music.

To do this I use my digital 4 track and simply put the stereo out into my Line In or Mic In.

This was working brilliantly and I was frankly astounded at how good the sound was.

I fixed my stereo to my PC and listened to my music I had recorded as well as music I had copied and films I wanted to watch.

But now the sound coming out of the computer is distorted. It buzzes. It never used to. I have checked all the cables. The stereo. The sound card is definitely not at fault, I have checked taht too. The 4 track is working fine.

When I write a track I have recorded to CD and play that on teh stereo it plays perfectly but just doesnt if I play it from PC to Stereo.

Does anyone know why this might be happening!!!!???????? Its really getting on my nerves!!!!!

Cheers

Paul

Have you checked your mixer configurations?

Plus that you have got the right lead(s) inserted in the right sockets?

Sounds silly but it is easy to use, say, a line in rather than a line out socket in error.
