sound card problem

I have recently installed additional memory and every thing is working fine apart from no sound. i have tried installing sound driver to no avail - any suggestions please to solve this problem?

Operating system and soundcard info. please and do you see the speaker Icon in the sys.tray, Bottom right of screen?

fatal exeption, If your sound Icon is missing, it suggest that the drivers for sound control have not been installed.

Did you have sound before the extra memory, and how much memory did you have and how much extra and type have you installed. J.
