I am going to buy a new sound setup, however I don't know if my sound card is a 5.1 or not. I have tried a few identification programs like Beclerc. But they dont give a name.

Help please.
Thanks
Seb

Can you open the PC and take a look?

Is it a card or on board?

Do you have the manual for, or specification of, your system?

The system's model number (if it is a system rather than one self built) would/could help.

Also try Device Manager>Sound, Video and Games Controllers>highlight your sound device>Properties or Windows System Information.
