Why is it the BIOS settings have to be reset each time I start my computer? The Date, time etcetra, has to be reset evry time. Is it the 3V battery?

Yes, it does look as though it is the Motherboard battery that is causing the problem although I have never, ever yet had to replace a motherboard battery in any computer that I have. I still have a 1990ish computer, 486DX40 with Win 3.1 running with no problems.
