What OS?
I think you need to run a system flie scan in which the procedure is different from XP to Vista.
(Unless of course you know how to do it)

My operating system is Vista so where do i get this program from?

Thanks for your input

Go to all Programs> Accessories and open the "Cmd Prompt" by right clicking and selecting "Run as Administrator" At the prompt type
sfc /scannow and hit enter, it will take quite a while to scan the files and will only replace files that have been lost or corrupted.

if it is on your system you should find it in
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"

Have you tried System Restore ?

Click Start- Computer
Click on C Drive - Programme Files - Internet Explorer.

There should be a file: iexplore.exe.

Copy it onto your Desktop by dragging and click on it. If it opens up alright drag it onto your start menu or Quick Launch Bar.

If it isn't there I would suggest installing it through Add/ Remove programmes.

How can you do that in Vista ? I would be interested to know if it is possible, thank you.

That is a very good question!

I have never done it and I have just had a look and it is not as straight forward as I thought.

Sorry :I also missed your post of 15:22.

It must be possible to install it from the disk by selecting 'repair installation'.

I always thought sfc /scannow only repaired system files and not programmes.

Have you tried this:
Start - All Programmes - Accessories - Internet Explorer (No Addons)?

"I always thought sfc /scannow only repaired system files and not programmes"
I think IE is classed as a system file.
