Sony VAIO?

Would a Sony VAIO NR32 laptop be good enouugh to do some video editing on? It's specs are 1.8ghz chip, 2 gb ram with 200 gb drive, although I would not be any where near the limit as it would only be for small projects, etc. Seen as it has a firewire socket it should be up to the job?

The spec on my laptop is far lower, and I have found it OK for my holiday videos, using Windows Movie Maker.
