Sony recovery disc issue

I have a Sony NW20S/F model where i accidently deleted the hidden partition on the C drive which holds all the recovery software. I didnt burn a set of recovery discs and now want to recover my system which is not loading up to Windows 7.
I borrowed a friends set of recovery disc for a similar mode NW20E/F and tried using these to recover my system.
However i got an Error 92 message and could not proceed any further
Can anyone tell me whether sony have some sort of code written into the recovery software which means you can only use on a like for like machine?

Possibly tattooed drives, whats the rest of the Error mesage?

Thats it - "error 92" and says the recovery disc cannot be used for this model?
Is there any way of removing the code to make the software think its the correct model?
I do not fancy ringing up Sony on their premium rate help line number to order a recovery disc which will cost me in excess of £20!

You could try using TestDisk to get the Partition or files back No Idea but may be worth a try click here
or click here
PS I used it to get a Partition back, but used a Floppy disc in mine to use it but there are other ways like boot CD etc.
