Anyone who has read any of my occasional postings will realise I know absolutely nothing about PC's. However, my neighbour has been t
transferred to Bahrain and gave me this PC

Intel Core2 Duo T5600 Processor

1.83GHz, 667MHz FSB, 2MB Cache

Microsoft Windows XP Media Center

1GB RAM Memory

300GB Hard Disk Drive

Multi-Format Dual Layer DVD RW Drive

GeForce Go 7400 Graphics

Built-in TV Tuner + Remote Control

802.11g Wireless Network Ready

Wireless Keyboard + mouse

What I need to know is will it take Vista?. I tried to do a compatabily test via MS but it appears I can only do it with the machine I am working on. Any help would be appreciated

I'd say it will be fine - the graphics may be a slight drawback but otherwise should be fine.

PS Generous neighbour :)

Diodorus Siculus: He also gave me a Vista package still in sealed box hence the enquiry. Otherwise I probably would not have bothered with Vista. This is a really strange machine. It appears the Hardrive, Processor and graphics are built into the rear of the monitor. I suppose I shall have to get a manual. The least he could have done is left me the manual???

I've seen them - they are not what I'd go for personally but if someone gave me one I wouldn't say no!
