Would anyone know whether the offer price Sony cdrw @ £59.99 will work with the Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4 software which I got with my Yamaha drive which seems to have gone belly up? You know, lights on but nobody home!

Very often CD burning software that is bundled with a writer is "doctored" so that it only functions with the drive it was supplied with. It is most likely that you current software will not function with a new machine (even one of the same brand but different model).

It is common to include burning software with new writers. Have you checked to see if this one does? If not, you can buy Nero quite cheaply but it makes your sixty quid bargain not quite so attractive.

Anybody there?

I would think you could buy a CDRW for less and get the software you require with it.
