sonic update manager

Hi folks, got a problem with Sonic Update Manager continually trying to run. goolged the problem, been to Sonic and downloaded a 'fix' file (click here)to correct this. Still no joy.

Was bundled with a Dell Laptop and we recently had severe virus issues which are now resolved.

I have been told I cannot stop it in the registry and I also cannot uninstall it from the control panel. HELP!

Seems it's part of a Roxio prog bundled with Dell computers, you can stop it in msconfig by unticking, issch and isuspm or uninstal Roxio.

thanks for the input, dont have roxio to uninstal, just many instances of various sonic applications, none of which will uninstall.

So,, I have tried the msconfig fix and that did it, many thanks
