have never heard of this before. I was working on graphics sorting out duplicate photos when a sound like a police siren, Dar Dar, Dar Dar , etc. Two alternate tones, It did not interfere with what I was doing but I closed down AOL and it stopped. I connected again and after a short time it stated again. I then closed down and I have now reloaded ok. I will carry on what I was doing and hope it will not reoccur. Has anyone any idea what is happening?

Do you have e.g. temperature monitoring enabled in the BIOS?

not sure but also sticky keys, maybe, carn't remember if these also give sound. Sticky key's in XP home come on when you hold the Chift key down for x seconds.

Yes I have ABIT Guru moitoring voltages, fan speeds and temperatures.

Everything is set to default but when I altered the fan speeds out of the red into the mid range I got the same tones so I returned them to default. Everything is ok now but If it happens again I will go to the monitor and see what is happening.

Thank for pointing me to the problem.
