I want to backup my pc ( used space about 90 Gbytes ) to an external device. Please anyone recommend one taht is not so expensive but will do the job.

I am using Windows XP on Dell desktop 3000.

I would suggest something like a 360Gb External USB drive, shop around a bit and you should find one round about 60 quid or less.

Skidzy , thanks.

Have looked at the spec ,my understanding is that it is only a software so I will have to buy the external device ?

Which external hard drive/device do you recommend?

never tried acronis, as i got norton ghost thrown in with my xp pc and use vista back up on the other, both pc's have one of these

had 1 for over 6 months never a problem never turned off and pretty much silent.

My external drives are ones i have saved and used caddies....cheap skate i know, but serves me fine.

Admans link looks a good bet and i would say pretty good from Seagate.

Yes, adman 2s' link is in fact the one I have, along with Acronis TI10.
