Software Alternative to Event Viewer

  Snrub 11:02 AM 01 Sep 11

I used Event Viewer in the past in XP and was fairly good as a diagnostic tool to track and solve malfunctions. With W/7 64 bit Event Viewer is too complex throwing up many faults which are suspect with on-line solutions it can't usually find an answer to. My question is does anyone know of software which diagnoses malfunctions in the same manor as Event Viewer did but better?

Ignore that. It is only for Vista.Funny that their older versions included W/7.

Looks like your one is for XP so not sure if it will work on Snrub's version of W/7 64 bit.

My version was similar but only for Vista.

Thanks for replies, I think there must be a gap in the software market for a W/7 64 bit application. As a matter of interest do others find Event Viewer complicated in W/7 or is it just me not persevering enough?

I certainly only use it on my XP machine but it does claim that :

"Supported OS: Windows NT, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista, 2008, 7"

see panel on LHS of page.
