Snow/ noise on start up

Hi,

I have an MSI TD-128 FX 5200 gfx card.
When I start the PC or enter the BIOS the characters "vibrate" and move as if there is a noisy signal. Once the PC is booted everything is ok.
I would like to know if this is normal thanks.
I've just had the pc returned from MESH and they replaced the motherboard, but the gfx prob seems to been overlooked by them.

The main reason it went back is because I am having problems with my PCI soundcard, there are clicks in my recordings. I had a sneaky feeling the m/b was duff thus causing these clicks and the dodgy gfx (duff pci/agp)

I have a 64 3000+ an a K8V SE DX board.
Any help would be appreciated

I have seen that a few times - often it is down to a conflict with drivers which Windows can sort out when booted.

Try different graphics drivers and try this too

start

run

dxdiag

and run the tests it offers.
