My screen has gone blank on my lap top. I know it it can start up and shut down, but I am unable to see any images.
This morning I installed service pack 2 and seemed okay when I used the computer after that. Having burnt some video tape onto dvd the screen froze and after rebooting no graphics appeared.
Any ideas.
I have tried connecting the laptop to another CRT screen but again no signal was received.
Until I get the screen back I am unable to what is causing the problem and was Service Pack 2 responsible ?+

Can you start in safe-mode? (press F8 repeatedly at bootup till you get a menu)

If so, try lowering the resolution.

Or try vga mode in the above menu.
