SmartSoundQuicktracks Plugin

I am not sure where this came from. I cannot remove it from Add/Remove. It is a huge file of 2620MB. I do not know about it but in control panel it says it is frequently used, even to-day!!!

Any idea please.

Do you have Adobe Premiere on your computer? click here

Yes, I did install Ulead Studio 8 which came bundeled with my Firewire PCI adopter. According to your link Quicktracts is also bundeled with it. I have run the registry fix for size and it has removed the size frm Add/Remove panel.
Thanks again Gongoozler.

I had a similar problem emailed SmartSound with the problem and they responded (promptly) with the following which worked. Good luck.
1. Download and install the Windows Installer Clean-up Utility.

2. Once installed, run the utility by clicking the Windows Start button,
selecting All Programs and then clicking the Windows Install Cleanup icon.
Select and remove ONLY the SmartSound Quicktracks Plug-in. Once that is done,
browse to C:\Program Files\SmartSound Software and delete the Quicktracks

3. Restart your computer. When ready (and before you run any programs) browse
to C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USERNAME\Local Settings\Temp* and delete
everthing in that folder. You may receive an error that some of the files are
in use. If so, skip those files and continue to delete the rest of the files.
Once you have deleted those files, run the SmartSound Quicktracks Update.
<click here>

4. Once installed, Run your video editing software (Pinnacle) and test to see
that it is working.

* If you do not see the Application Data and/or Local Settings folder you
will need to change a setting in Windows. Browse to C:\Documents and
Settings\All Users, click the "Tools" menu and choose "Folder Options". This
will open an options window. Click the View tab and place a dot next to the
option "Show hidden files and folders". Click "Apply" and then "OK". You will
now be able to see the hidden folders.
